If an employer takes on or puts forward an apprentice who is 16-18yrs then the employer will receive a payment of £1000 per learner.
The payment is paid over 2 instalments.
The 1st payment is £500, This payment is triggered once the learner has been on programme for 3 months, this is then paid to the provider in the following payment run, the provider should then request an invoice from the employer for the payment and the pay within 30days.
The 2nd payment again is £500 and works in the same way except the apprentice has to have been on programme for 356days.
